HeldfixBot
HeldfixBot fetches public pages of a website when its owner, or someone checking it, runs a Heldfix scan. It reads what a search engine would read: the HTML, the rendered page, robots.txt, the sitemap, and a few status probes.
How it identifies itself
HeldfixBot/0.1 (+https://heldfix.com/bot)
Rendered fetches use a standard Chromium user agent with the same HeldfixBot/0.1 token appended. Before October 2026 the token was SEOAutofixBot/0.1; rules written for that name are still obeyed.
Rules it follows
- Obeys robots.txt for
HeldfixBot,SEOAutofixBotand*, includingCrawl-delayup to 60 seconds. - At most one request per second and two at a time per host.
- About 60 pages per scan by default. Status checks of links and images read headers only.
- Never fetches private-network addresses and never runs the browser without its sandbox.
- Never presents itself as Googlebot or another search engine on a site whose owner has not verified control of it.
